Zak Mascolo

Creative Director

Zak Mascolo is the creative leader of TONI&GUY in both salons and academies nationally and is the integral lead in all collection and education decisions.

With a firm belief that at the heart of creativity is a formal education, Zak helps hairdressers around the world find their individual creative voice through foundational and advanced curriculum. Zak began his hairdressing career as a child, helping his father, Guy Mascolo, in his TONI&GUY salons.

For over 20 years, Zak has used his talents and artistry to express his creativity through hairdressing. His accomplishments include leading the creative team and managing all classes for the TIGI Advanced Academy in New York for 10 years prior to returning to TONI&GUY full time in 2009.

He was also the winner of the 2005 “Contemporary Classic” category for the North American Hairstyling Awards and was one of five finalists for the 2006 “North American Hairdresser of the Year.” Zak credits his father and his uncle, Bruno Mascolo, who both overcame tremendous obstacles to get where they are today, as his personal and professional mentors. They, along with his uncle Anthony Mascolo, whom Zak calls “a creative mastermind”, inspire him to stay focused on his goals and his vision for TONI&GUY.

Lindsay is a published session stylist for several in-trade publications and is also a coveted hairdresser for Award Season (Grammy Awards, Academy Awards, ESPYS, etc.) Additionally, she is a recurring hairdresser for NYFW and LAFW, as Marchesa being one of many shows she styled for.

Austin Finley

Advanced Creative Director

Dallas native, Austin Finley, began his hairdressing career at the TONI&GUY Academy when he was 26 years old. Despite the delayed start to his career, he was extremely driven to learn and progress as quickly as he could. A true student of hair, within his first couple of years working on the floor, Austin had completed his student program, teachers program, and within that same time frame had joined the Junior Art Team. He then went on to complete his test-out onto the Main Art Team.

For the next three years, Austin continued to grow in his craft, and soon became the Educational Director of his salon, while also teaching and traveling both nationally and internationally as an educator for TIGI/ TONI&GUY.

In the fifth year of his career, Austin was invited to be a member of the Senior Art Team, and at the end of that year, he had won the Photographic Awards for TONI&GUY’s Hairdresser of the Year. Austin has continued on working and growing with the Art Team, being involved in creative process for the advanced collections for TONI&GUY, as well as the revamp of the TONI&GUY CLASSICS. Austin also continues to work on shooting different ideas and concepts, for which he was nominated as a finalist in 2014 for his Avant Garde work for NAHA in 2014.
